The March 19th Life Guard story leaves out some critical information. That is the role of newcomer to Lake Worth, Michelle Beaulieu recently introduced to us (Mel and Vinnie) by a northern mutual friend. This is Michelle's account of that day. "I saved a life today. Beautiful beach day, I was swimming and came across a woman floating face down in the ocean, 35' from shore. I flipped her over and she was gone. A 17 year old girl in the Lifeguard Training program here in Lake Worth helped me get her to shore - her name is Autumn and she did a fantastic job. She helped me flip her over where I tried to get as much water from her lungs before the guards came. She had no pulse when the guards arrived. One of the guards just came to find me - after a night in the hospital she'll be released. Know how to swim, learn CPR, know basic first aid, and if you can lend support, do. She came to the beach with her two little kids - glad they'll all be together tomorrow." Thought you might like to know. Merl Healy
